Model Car Hall of Fame back at the Spielwarenmesse
The USA's Model Car Hall of Fame (MCHOF) is once again coming to the next Spielwarenmesse, taking place in Nuremberg from 27 to 31 January 2026 to announce the Class of 2025.
“We are excited to welcome back the Model Car Hall of Fame for another year of celebrating the legends of the automotive world”, says Christian Ulrich, Board Spokesperson at Spielwarenmesse eG. The biggest yearly event in the Diecast community worldwide will induct 33 new members to join 350 past inductees, this includes the best Slot Car of the 2025, Novice Model Brand of the Year and a lifetime achievement award for a Model Car Entrepreneur amongst many others.
The MCHOF is supported by 139 blogs, clubs, magazines and other model car institutions from 30 countries and has a community of 5.6m diecast fans. Nominations are now open, you can propose models, brands and people here – www.modelcarhall.com/nominate. The MCHOF's prestigous Committee with 22 members (including Andreas Berse, Chief Editor for Modellfahrzeug; Bruce Meyer, founding chairman of the Petersen Museum and Raffi Minasian, former designer for Toyota, Matchbox and many other car and model car brands) will select five nominations for each category. The public can vote on those in November. The members of the Class of 2025 will be announced at Spielwarenmesse 2026.
